Swahili Beach Resort which is the current holder of the Kenya Leading Beach Resort Award (won the award 2 years in a row, 2012 and 2013) is located in Diani Beach, Kenya. The resort has a state of the art design that gives it a beautiful look and finishing. The 5 star Kenyan Beach resorts is designed in a way that give visitors have a comfortable and memorable stay.
Swahili Beach resort boasts of 140 guest rooms. The rooms comprise of 16 standard rooms, 110 superior rooms and 14 Executive suites. Facilities in each room vary depending on the class of the room.
Swahili Beach resort has 4 restaurants;
Majilis– The term means ‘meeting’ or ‘gathering’. This is the main restaurant and as the name suggests, it’s a meeting place for all in the resort. Sumptuous meals are served here.
Spice route– This is the only one of its kind in Kenya. It’s a fusion of Indian and Swahili cuisine. The restaurant which has an Indian themed style has a sheesha bar area and low banquette seating.
The Champagne and Oyster Bar– This is an a la carte restaurant that is raised 40 ft above the beach to give a beautiful scenic view. It’s also the first of its kind in Kenya. It offers a wide range of champagnes and fresh local oysters.
Baharini– The term means ‘ocean’ and as the name suggests, this restaurant is located next to the beach. It is a beach bar and Italian restaurant whose décor is quite a sight to see. Guests relax on fluffy sofas with white pillows.
Kahawa Café– This is a café that offers Arabic Coffee and light snacks.
Swahili Beach Resort has 2 bars- Baraza Bar and Palm Bar
