In this tour, you will spend two nights in Moshi and six days trekking Mount Kilimanjaro. Mt Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa. This trek is bound to be adventurous and worthwhile when you get to the snow capped mountain top. The view is simply breath taking.
This is probably the most beautiful route up Kilimanjaro. The accommodation on the way up and down is strictly camping (mobile tents) only. This trek is strenuous and may be better suited to more adventurous hikers. The Machame route is normally completed in a minimum of 6 days/5nights on the mountain.
Trek will be conducted by an English speaking mountain guide, licensed assistant guide for more or two persons, porters and cook throughout the climb.
Prices include breakfast and dinner in Moshi and breakfast, lunch and dinner on climb.

Depart from Nairobi at 10.00a.m and drive 230km south East of Nairobi to Loitokitok (3 ½ -4 hrs) you will break for lunch on the way. On arrival at Loitokitok you will clear with migration official before driving to Tarakea to clear with Tanzania migration officials.
You then drive along the border to Nalemoro 8km to SNOW CAP cottages for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, you will meet the Mt crew and after a short introduction the climb starts at around 10.00a.m. You trek through a natural rain forest where you may see Columbus Monkeys .
Today you will walk for 10km (about 4 hours) overnight will be in tent at the Sakimba campsite at the edge of the forest.
You will have breakfast in the open with excellent view of the plains below and Kibo Peak towering above you. You trek through the moorland leading Kikelelwa Caves (3600m). The 14km trek takes about 6 hours with lunch break at the 2nd caves (3300m), here you can enjoy the evening view of Mawenzi Peak.
Overnight will be in tents.
Today’s target is the Mawenzi Tarn hut at an attitude of (4330). Lunch will be taken en route. From the Tarn Hut, you will enjoy a magnificent view of Kibo Peak, the destination of you trek .Experienced rock climbers can opt to conquer Hans Mayers peak (5149m). However at their own risk .
The night will be spent in tents
Today’s trekking, crossing the Kibo saddle, is meant for acclimatization by descending to about (4000m) and ascending again to (4750m) to the school hut. The exclusive use of the hut gives much better chances to rest in preparation for the next day’s challenge.
After a short night and hot drink the final ascend starts at about 1.30a.m .The path takes you to Gillmans Point (5685m) where you can watch the sunrise and the magnificent ice fields. After a short break you proceed along the crater rim to the Uhuru Peak (5895m) reaching there at about 9.00a.m.
After your summit photos descend to Kibo Hut for lunch before another 3 hours descend to Horombo (3720m) for overnight.
After breakfast you start on the final leg that takes 6 hrs through Madara Hut and finally to Marangu gate (1800m).Here you will be awarded certificates for a successful climb. After bidding the mountain crew goodbye, you will be transferred to SNOW CAP cottages for a hot shower dinner and a well –deserved rest.
