Wildlife Safaris

Kenya and Tanzania hold some of the most concentrated, varied wildlife found anywhere on the planet, and a wildlife safari with us is built to put you genuinely close to it: private 4×4 Land Cruisers, driver guides who know a conservancy’s animals the way most people know their own neighbourhood, and itineraries shaped around the particular character of each landscape rather than a generic checklist of parks.

This is the broadest of our collections, and deliberately so. It spans the rhino sanctuaries and private conservancies of Laikipia, the rugged, specialist wildlife of Samburu’s northern wilderness, the elephant herds of Amboseli beneath Mount Kilimanjaro’s snowcap, and the lion-dense plains of the Maasai Mara, alongside journeys that reach further still, into Rwanda for mountain gorilla trekking, or onward to the white sand and Swahili heritage of the Kenyan coast. Some itineraries focus tightly on a single, exceptional conservancy. Others cover six distinct ecosystems in a single trip, woven together by road or by scheduled light aircraft, whichever suits the pace you’re after.

What ties every wildlife safari together is the same standard: camps chosen for genuine quality and access rather than convenience, guiding built on real expertise, and a pace that gives each landscape room to properly unfold. Twenty years spent in this country has taught us which conservancies deliver, which combinations of destinations genuinely complement one another, and how to build a journey that feels considered from the first day to the last.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many parks or conservancies should I include in one trip?

This depends on your available time and pace preference. A single, exceptional conservancy can deliver a complete experience in under a week, while a broader circuit covering several ecosystems typically needs 10 days or more to avoid feeling rushed between destinations.

What's the difference between a national reserve and a private conservancy?

National reserves are open to any licensed operator and can see higher vehicle numbers at a sighting. Private conservancies strictly limit beds and vehicles, generally delivering more exclusive, unhurried encounters, along with privileges like off-road driving and night drives not permitted in most reserves.

Do I need to choose between Kenya and Tanzania, or can I do both?

You can absolutely combine both. Several of our wildlife safaris cross the border within a single itinerary, taking advantage of the fact that this is one connected ecosystem rather than two separate destinations.

Will I see the Big Five on a wildlife safari?

Most of our wildlife itineraries offer strong chances of lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino, particularly in conservancies and parks known for healthy populations of all five, though no sighting in the wild can ever be fully guaranteed.
